New for 2024/25
We are now offering a hybrid course, with all study material available online and a 2 day in person course that will allow you to discuss the concepts with an experienced behavioural optometrist, ask questions, meet other students and have first hand experience of the practical elements.
Developed and refined over thirty years, OVT1 consists of two modules that guide an Optometrist on how to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of non-strabismic binocular visual disorders. OVT1 provides the essential foundations for further learning in behavioural and neuro-developmental Optometry.
The two modules are OVT1A - Introduction to Behavioural Optometry and OVT1B which covers Further Concepts in Behavioural Optometry.
We are recommencing enrolment in July 2024 and will continue to enrol students in small groups each month following that. If you are not in a position to join us just yet, please advise of your expected start date, and we will do our best to facilitate this.
If you are no longer interested, please ask to be removed from our list or put on hold until a later date.
MODULE A - Introduction to Behavioural Optometry
OVT1A guides you through the process of how to assess, diagnose and manage accommodative, convergence and fusional disorders and OVT1B introduces additional theory on the principles of behavioural optometry as well as looks at how to manage oculo-motor disorders and near-point stress.
